Cooking equipment only, and set up for this elevation

This is a repair shop for cooking appliances: ranges, rangetops, cooktops, wall and steam ovens, warming drawers and the ventilation above them. We do not touch refrigeration. Keeping to one half of the kitchen is what lets a technician arrive already knowing how a griddle plate is levelled and where a spark module hides.

Denver rewards that narrowness in one specific way. At a mile up, every gas appliance in the city is running on air that is thinner than the one it was set up for. Half the “the simmer is ruined” and “my pans are going sooty” calls we take are not broken parts at all — they are orifices and bypass screws that were never matched to the elevation after the range was installed.

So a visit starts with the reading, not the parts van. Manifold pressure, spark, flame shape at high and at low, and what the model plate says the part number should be. Then you get the price, and then the work.

Nothing is ordered and nothing comes apart until the figure for parts and labour has been said out loud and agreed. Each repair page prints the band that kind of job usually falls in, so you can see the shape of it before anyone is dispatched.

What we do not do

Refrigerators, freezers, ice makers and wine storage. That is refrigeration, it is a different trade with different gauges, and sending somebody who is good at burners to a sealed system helps nobody. If that is what has failed, say so on the phone and we will tell you straight away rather than charge you to find out.
